Current favorite winter moisturizer!

Hello!

So for this post, I wanted to let you guys know about an amazing night time moisturizer/night cream. I know it says night time but, I use it during the day as well, especially for this horribly cold winter.

Before this, I was using a Christian Dior moisturizer that did not do the job right and after apply, I would still feel like my skin is thirsty. For the summer time, the Dior one should be fine, but I needed something thicker for the winter. I went online to look up some reviews before i headed to Ulta. I am always on the look out to try and test new products and I came across this little gem.

The reviews were really good but, you can't always depend on those. Everyone's skin is different and just because you have the same skin type as someone else, it does not necessarily mean that it will workout the same way for you as the product did for the other person.

The moisturizer smells so fresh, clean, and just heavenly! It has not synthetic or weird scents, it just smells very "natural" I guess. The consistency is pretty thick but, it blends out like a dream on to the skin. I am so happy to say that my skin did not feel thirsty after slapping on this bad boy! I am so happy with it and it did not break me out (I don't have acne prone or sensitive skin, so that might also help), it did not make me itch, get red, or anything weird like that. It is very moisturizing and has kept my face happy this winter. I love that it also has Vitamin E which is great for the skin! Vitamin E is an antioxidant, it helps to repair and protect the skin as well as help with premature aging! What's not to love about that? I love this moisturizer and will definitely buy it again as soon as I run out. What is your favorite winter moisturizer? Let me know! Until next time.

Yves Saint Laurent YSL Le Teint Touche Éclat Foundation Review

Hello Ladies!

I'm so excited to post this review because this is truly one of the best foundations I have probably ever tried. And believe me, I have tried a TON! I tried everything from drugstore(Revlon colorstay, Maybelline fit me, dream smooth mouse, Rimmel stay matte, a bunch of Neutrogena ones, L'Oreal, PP, and you get the idea) all the way to high end (MAC, UD, NARS, Chanel, Mally, Benefit, Dior, MUFE, Giorgio Armani, Laura Mercier, and you get the point again). For someone who has tried a lot more foundations than the average person I would say, I think I am confidently able to say that THIS foundation blows everything I have tried out of the water, hands down. First off, the packaging is simple yet very sleek and luxurious looking. It is 1 fluid oz/30ml. The gold is YSL's signature color used on almost all of their products, it looks beautiful.

And yes it has a pump! This makes for a cleaner application. You have to be careful though, even if you press lightly, it can pump out more product than you would like. This is probably the only downside.
It comes out in a very creamy/liquid consistency, yet if i move my hand around it will not move all around like for example the liquid powder foundation by L'oreal. It almost feels gel-like.
As you can see it is extremely pigmented and that little pump is enough for your face, probably a bit too much even. This is when I tried to use a light hand and all of that came out. This is definitely a very full coverage foundation.
As you can see, it blends out so smoothly and beautifully. It has a dewy finish, but if you prefer matte, a little powder on top can easily take care of that.
This foundation will stay on as long as you leave it on. Many foundations, high end or drug-store, can fade by the end of the day or after 5-8 hours. Not this bad boy. This will stay on and look good as if you had just applied it. Your blush will also not disappear when applied over this foundation. All in all, I think it is a gorgeous foundation and truly a great investment. It is different from what is out there, and I really saw a difference in how it looks, how it wears throughout the day, and how long it lasts. It is $57.00 and the color I have is BR40. For comparison, I use NARS Sheer Glow in Punjab.
Let me know what you guys think if you have this foundation!

Long time no see and Benefit Stay Don't Stray eye primer review!

Hi guys! It has been a while! So much has changed with me, and I have so many awesome products to share with you. I have a whole new skin care routine, foundation routine, lots and lots of new products and reviews coming up. You should be seeing regular posts from me.

To start off, my first love that i have been trying over a few months now is the Benefit stay don't stray eye primer. I honestly think it is my HG. I didn't think that eye primers were "necessary" before. I would just apply concealer or foundation on my eye lid and off i would go. Wrong! Eye primers are a total must if you want your shadows to look more pigmented, last longer, and not crease. I admit, if i'm in a rush and forget to apply my eye primer, i look like a total creasy mess! The shadow bunches up into my eyelid lines and its not as pigmented, its just bad. I gave Too Faced shadow insurance and Urban Decay a try, they did nothing for me. Stay don't stray is my absolute favorite at the moment and has been for a long time. It has a flesh tone color, it looks like a concealer and it instantly brightens your lids. The consistency is very silicone creamy feeling and it dries to like a concealer finish. If you don't work pretty quickly and rub it in, it will be hard to blend out. I hope you guys will love it or do love it as much as i do! Let me know what your favorite eye shadow primers are.

My Current Skincare Faves

Hello hello! I felt that this post had to go up as soon as possible so that you guys are aware of the amazingness these items can deliver to your skin. First off, i use 2 cleansers but im not too picky on cleanser. I use the Perricone MD Nutritive Cleanser that has not caused and problems to my skin yet

( history of my skin - never really had acne or any problems with my skin. Occasionally pimple here and there. My skin type is combo oily, oily nose and forehead but my cheeks are normal and dry in the winter.) and i lean more towards scrubs, im fine with using it everyday but some people might find it too harsh to use a scrub everyday. I usually dont care what kind of scrub i use, but i like something that has a lot of those "scrubbing" things. I currently use a brand that is new at Ulta called Bellaboo.

The other 2 best products that i added to my skincare regime was the Reviva Labs glycolic acid toner that i also picked up at Ulta, and the moisturizer i got at GNC for$1.99 which is the vitamin C serum.

Those 2 together are a godsend for my skin. Vitamin C is known to be amazing for the skin, helping fade acne spots or other troubled spots and it is also good for skin elasticity. I use to have a broken blood vessel on my top left cheek and it is gone! Usually people go to laser treatments to get rid of broken blood vessels on their body but not me, it totally went away!
We all get lazy sometimes and skip some days without a certain skincare product like the moisturizer or something, i know i have done it plenty of times before and i can tell right away that my skin is not happy. So i try to keep my skincare simple so that i dont find it a hassle to do it everyday.

Its also really good to do a mask at least once a week, i think homemade masks are the best as its all freshly made and has all fresh ingredients. Oh and the Queen Helene mask is the best when you have breakouts and problem skin!
Many many people recommend it and i have tried it and i love it! It can work wonders for your skin and its very inexpensive! I hope this post will help some of you and if you try any products, let me know how they are working for you. Until next time!

Sigma F80 has some competition...

So when Coastal Scents was having their awesome sale a few weeks back, i decided to give some of their face brushes a try. Im always up for trying new flat top brushes, especially dense ones like the Sigma F80 as i find them THE BEST for applying any liquid and cream foundations. So i saw the bionic flat top brush and didnt think much of it as the hairs are a bit longer than the Sigma F80 and i felt it might be flimsy, i haven't heard much raves about it, and at $14 i really didnt care for it. But during the sale it was reduced to $6 or $7 and i was like, why not. I ordered it along with a few others, the pink kabuki (not as dense as the mac 182 but applies great and SUPER soft) a 217 look alike which does get the job done, and the kabuki on a stick brush which i havent really tried just once for blush and it was good. Back to the flat top, i tried it and i was in love. In my book its a tie with the F80. Even though the hairs are longer, it is not flimsy at all, you still have control in the way you apply, it blends away like a dream and i would definitely recommend it. I of course got another one and love it!

No i was not sent anything, bought it all with my money and i think the bionic flat top deserves more credit because it really is inexpensive and works amazing!

L'Oreal Double Extend Mascara Review

Hey guys! Long time no talk! Well, i missed blogging like crazy, but sometimes life just gets in the way. I'm trying to get back into blogging and i hopefully will! I have so many posts lined up that i plan on working on soon. So today i want to talk about the L'Oreal double extend lash boosting mascara. At first, i didn't think much of it. But my mom had been using it for months and i asked about the mascara one day and she told me that she sees a huge difference in her lashes and loves it. So then i KNEW i had to try it. My lashes are pretty normal, not too long not too short, just average, not straight or curled but..normal. So i used this mascara for about 4 months now, give or take a few weeks. Um.. i'm not really seeing the wow factor here. I thought i was going to be wowed but i guess the mascara didn't do much for me. It applies nicely and doesn't flake or anything, its just a normal mascara that didn't "extend" anything. This is just my experience, but maybe it worked wonders for some people and i'm sure it did. As for me, sadly, nothing happened. At the end of the day its a nice mascara, nothing too special, for me at least.

Foundation stains on Sigmax brushes!

So if you're like me, a foundation junkie, you need quite a few brushes since you dont feel like washing foundation brushes every single day. I have a few of the Sigmax brushes, 2 F80's and an F84, (currently waiting to receive F82 in the mail!!). No matter what foundation i use, i can usually never get the white bristles back to the original white color that they use to be when they were new. I tried baby shampoo, liquid soap and even the "magical" Dr. Bronners soap. None of these were doing a good job at removing foundation stains from the brushes. So as i was washing my brushes today ( didnt get a chance to take before and after pics with other shampoos, but i will one day!) i was scrubbing hard to get stains out but nothing, and then i took a bar of regular soap ( i think mine is Dove) and i didnt twist the brush into the soap, just sweeping the surface of the bristles up and down since that's where the stains are, not in the middle of your brush inside the bristles. I CANT BELIEVE I DIDNT THINK OF THIS BEFORE! It got all of the foundation off of my white bristles on all of my foundation brushes! So i just wanted to share with you that a bar of soap is the answer to this dilemma! I hope you guys try this out soon and see how it works!
